A very cool Victoria Warehouse Wedding with Laura & Simon.

“Are you available on the 28.04.17? I’m winding everyone else involved up by being the most laid back bride ever haha – I haven’t even sent out the invites yet!! So there might not be very many people to photograph at this rate!” This was the email I received from Laura, 2 months before her wedding! Luckily, we did have that date available and I just had to give Laura a call because she sounded ace! And that she was. We had a great chat on the phone and decided to meet her and Simon at Victoria Warehouse in Manchester to discuss their wedding plans. They explained how they were looking for a natural, laid back style of photography to capture their special day. Again we hit it right off and couldn’t wait for the wedding.

On the day of the wedding we met Simon and his pals at his and Laura’s very cool house in Manchester. (hence all the detail shots in their home that we just had to photograph) They are definitely music lovers with all the Pink Floyd, Smiths and Beatles stuff dotted around their house. Obviously very good taste in music too.

After getting some shots of Simon and the lads getting ready, we made our way to Victoria Warehouse to capture bridal prep.

The wedding went just as we thought, so damn cool with awesome music playing right from the ceremony throughout the day. We got some great shots of Laura and Simon together at the warehouse and had a walk to the bridge on the quays.

Well what can I say about this venue, such a fantastic, unique and quirky place to have a wedding. “I want to get married here” said Lucy as we were getting in the car to go home.

The building has been a symbol of the great industrial age that Manchester led the world and has stood for nearly 100 years. Candles and sparkly lights light the aisle of the bays room. Such a stunning, urban backdrop for a wedding.
