A beautiful summer Tros yr Afon wedding on the isle of Anglesey for Fran and Matthew.
Summer Wedding At Tros yr Afon
I met Fran and little Pip at their family home a couple of weeks before the big day. Fran and Matthew live just up the road from me, so it was great to catch up and chat about all things wedding. They were to have a very relaxed tipi wedding with family and friends which sounded right up my street!
I arrived a day before the wedding on the beautiful isle of Anglesey so it would only be a short journey to the venue on the day of Fran and Matthew’s Tros yr Afon wedding.
I arrived at Tros yr Afon and you could not ask for better weather, it was a gorgeous summer day! (God I hope we get the same weather for my wedding next year!)
Matthew had all hands on deck placing chairs on the lawn for an outdoor ceremony. It was all systems go in a very busy prep room for Fran and the girls.
Fran’s twin sister Emily who owns the amazing Linden Lea flowers was putting all the bouquets together for the bride and bridesmaids. Fran looked amazing in her wedding dress holding her flowers. It was time to get this show on the road!
A Sunny Outdoor Wedding Ceremony On Anglesey
Everyone was shown to their seats for an outdoor ceremony at Tros yr Afon. When the weather is like this and you have the opportunity to have a wedding ceremony outside, I think you should grab it with both hands! The sun puts everyone in a great mood and that is a great way to start a wedding celebration!
Matt’s best friend Leo was conducting the ceremony, which I am seeing a lot more lately. I think it makes a ceremony/blessing more personal.
Fran made her way down the aisle to join Matt who was waiting patiently with a beaming smile! There was lots of laughter and a few tears too during the lovely readings from both mums.
Fran and Matt made their way through a wave of confetti as husband and wife. After hugs of congratulations, everyone made their way to the courtyard for the drinks reception.
Speeches In The Tipi
Fran, Matthew and Pip made their grand entrance into the tipi to rapturous applause from their guests. Matt was first up to give a great speech that had his brother and best man in tears followed by Fran’s sister who read some lovely words. Matt’s brother brought the speeches to an end a great best man’s speech.
As the tipi was getting turned around for the evening party, I sneaked the newlyweds away for 10 minutes to give them a few moments alone and to capture a few photographs of them both.
Evening Party At Tros yr Afon
As the sun started to set on what was a fantastic Tros yr Afon wedding, it was time to get the evening party underway and in great wedding tradition, it was Fran, Matt and their little baby Pip that got the show underway with their first dance. The Funtime Frankies wedding band played the classics that got the party into full swing.
Guests were also gathered outside the tipi enjoying drinking games on a lovely summer evening.
I had such a great time at this incredible wedding. Perfect weather with great people having the best time!
