Stydd Gardens wedding with Laura & Adam. More about this fantastic venue in a minute.
Laura & Adam got in touch with us to shoot their wedding after meeting them both at Laura’s sisters wedding that we had shot a couple of years before. (view Kate & Craig’s wedding here.)
They were yet to choose a venue for their wedding but they knew from the begging that they wanted something different and unique. After much deliberation they came up with the best idea. They were to tie the knot at the stunning Manchester town hall. A Victorian neo-gothic building that has such stunning light in there with it’s huge windows. It really is a photographers dream to photograph weddings there. Sadly Manchester town hall is to close it’s doors for 5 years for a huge refurbishment. I really will miss shooting there.
After the ceremony, the reception was to be held at the beautiful Stydd Gardens in Ribchester.
We had a great day with these two on their pre-wedding shoot in sunny Blackpool to get a little practice in front of the camera before their big day.
On the day of the wedding we met Adam and the lads at their home in Manchester, before making our way to Laura at Hotel Gotham in the city centre of Manchester for bridal prep.
The ceremony at Manchester town hall was just superb, lots of tears and laughs and we managed to get some very cool portraits around the beautiful building. They had a big red London bus to pick up all the guests to take them to Stydd Gardens for the wedding reception.
After a few words the guests started throwing toy airplanes across the tables at each other in the marquee which were met by fits of laughter be everyone. A couple nearly bounced off my head too!
We had a little bit of rain during the food, but as soon as everything was eaten the sun popped out again.
Beer ping pong, bouncy castles, shots, limbo and dancing, what more could a wedding ask for? These lot were so much fun, they really do know how to have a party.
Stydd Gardens Wedding.
Stydd gardens is a garden centre with a difference. Very shabby-chic with lots a quirky cafes and restaurants and the most beautiful gardens you have ever seen. They even have a real dove house. It’s a very quirky and different venue to have a wedding. We cant wait to photograph a wedding here again.
“When you receive your wedding pictures and they look like this. seriously the best wedding photographer around”
