Stunning Winter Eaves Hall Wedding

What a stunning winter Eaves Hall wedding this was. I was recommended to Lynn-Marie and Michael to photograph their wedding and I am so glad I was. Such a great couple who really know how to throw a celebration.

Bridal Preparations In The Kemple Suite

I met Lynne-Marie with her family and friends on the morning of the wedding in the Kemple Suite at Eaves Hall. There was such a great atmosphere with lots of excitement in the air. Michael arrived at Eaves Hall and started to get ready with the lads in The Pendle Suite next door. Suited and booted, Michael looked very dapper indeed as did their little boy Harry in his little suit.

Back with Lynne-Marie as she was just getting the finishing touches of her make-up applied and into her wedding dress. She looked absolutely stunning as she gave a big reveal to her parents as they walked into the room. Time to get this show on the road.

Lovely Ceremony At Eaves Hall

Michael and the lads made their way downstairs and greeted guests as they arrived at Eaves Hall. Most of them were gathering at the bar which is always a good sign.

Everyone was shown to their seats as Michael and his two best men made their way to the top of the aisle and had a few nervous laughs as they waited for the bride-to-be.

A  few emotional tears were shed by Michael, I’m sure he won’t mind me saying as Lynne-Marie walked down the aisle with her dad and joined him at the front of the ceremony room.

It was such a lovely ceremony. Heartfelt moments and laughs throughout as family and friends looked on, beaming with smiles, you could really tell how much this marriage meant to everybody there. Lynne-Marie and Michael tied the knot and made their way back up the aisle together as husband and wife to huge cheers.

After family and friends congratulated the newlyweds, everyone made their way outside and grabbed handfuls of confetti to shower over them as they joined everybody else at the front of Eaves Hall.

Chasing Light At Eaves Hall

After a few family group photographs, I sneaked Lynne-Marie and Mike away for a little walk around the beautiful gardens at Eaves Hall.

Winter was just setting in and as the sun dipped we chased the beautiful light around the gardens. Lynne-Marie and Michael were just bouncing off each other. Walking around laughing and stopping to give each other a hug. These moments can’t be replicated. I love to capture the true personality of a couple during portraits, so don’t want them to do anything that would make them feel uncomfortable. I get to know people as the day goes on so know exactly how they are going to be with each other and these two were such a joy to capture.

As the sun set, everyone made their way back inside for the wedding breakfast and speeches.

What Best Men Are For

After some delicious food (trust me, the food at Eaves Hall is incredible) it was time for the speeches. Some beautiful words from the groom and also from the father of the bride. It was the turn of Mike’s two best men. You always know it’s going to get a bit brutal when the projector gets wheeled out and these lads did not disappoint.

With his head in his hands mainly throughout, the groom did take the friendly attack rather well. They certainly didn’t hold back but it really is what the best men are for, good, solid banter!

It sure put everyone in the mood for the party.

Party Time at Eaves Hall

Everyone braced the cold night for 10 minutes and made a makeshift human aisle for Lynne-Marie and Mike to walk through with the lights from the sparklers shining on their glowing faces.

Mike led his new wife into a packed room and they danced alone together surrounded by family and friends. They were soon joined by everyone to party into the small hours.

What a day, what a wedding! It was such a pleasure capturing a wedding at one of my favourite venues but most of all meeting Lynne-Marie and Michael who have now become friends. Can’t wait to catch up with them after this Covid madness for a few beers.
