Summer Wedding
It’s always a pleasure being asked to be the photographer for a wedding at Rivington Hall Barn.
Leanne got in touch with us and arranged to meet at a nearby pub to discuss her wedding to Chris. We were actually recommended by my lovely Aunty Maureen, as Leanne used to work at the salon were my Aunty goes for a trim.
It was great chatting about all Leanne and Chris’s plans for the big day. Chris is originally from down south so there would be quite a few guests making their way up for the wedding.
The Big Day
The day had arrived. We made our way to Leanne and Chris’s family home in Bolton (my home town) where Leanne and the girls were getting ready. The atmosphere was pretty chilled but you could see the excitement building on the girls faces as the ceremony drew closer and closer.
A fantastic blue camper van pulled up outside the house to take Leanne to Rivington hall Barn to marry her man.
I met Chris and the lads as they were greeting guests arriving at the venue. I had been told in advance that there would be an owl ring bearer that would fly the rings down the aisle during the ceremony. “Great” I thought as I attached my flash to my camera, only to be told by the owl’s owners that I would not be able to use flash as it could startle the owl. Challenge accepted!
Leanne looked stunning in her dress as she walked down the aisle to Chris. Such a beautiful ceremony with a lovely reading from Leanne and Chris’s daughters. I’ll let you check the photos to see how I got on with the owl ;)
After the ceremony I got to have a ride around the stunning Rivington countryside with the newly weds in their camper van. We got to have a walk around too and get some lovely shots of Leanne and Chris together. After food and some really great speeches the night really got into swing. Confetti canons, saxophonists and some serious shapes being thrown about.
A Fantastic day with a really awesome couple. Thank you Aunty Maureen for recommending us :D
Rivington Hall Barn
I absolutely love shooting weddings at Rivington hall Barn. For one, it’s in my hometown of Bolton and set in the glorious Lancashire countryside. So many great photo opportunities. Really looking forward to my next wedding here.
Here are some of my favourites from Leanne and Chris’s day..
“Thank you both so much for photographing our special day. The moments you have captured and pure emotion are fantastic. We couldn’t of wished for more”
