Maddi & Dave had a relaxed and extremely fun Tipi wedding Cheshire last summer. Afternoon tea, plenty of booze, and great music were the order of the day.
Bridal Preparations & Dr Marten
I met Maddi and her family on the day of her wedding at their home in Warrington. There was such a great atmosphere already as everyone was getting their hair and make-up done for the day ahead. Florence, the flower girl looked just adorable in her brand new shiny Dr. Martens. These were all to be worn later in the day by the bride and bridesmaids when the Jimmy Choos got kicked off for dancing. Maddi looked amazing in her Charlie Brear wedding dress.
Just check out this car that would take Maddi and her Dad to church. Now that’s what I call arriving in style.
Church Wedding In Cheshire
I arrived at St Alban’s R.C church to meet Dave the groom as he was greeting guests. He looked very dapper in his white blazer suit. A few tears as he turned round to see his bride-to-be walking down the aisle. The looks these two were giving each other throughout the ceremony were a joy to capture. Maddi stood in some amazing light which every photographer crosses his fingers for during the ceremony.
Lots of cheers as Maddi and Dave walked back up the aisle together as husband and wife. There were lots of hugs and congratulations outside the church and a shower of confetti.
After a few family group shots, we made our way to Lester Meadows for the wedding reception.
Tipi Wedding Cheshire
I arrived at Lester Meadows and it looked absolutely amazing. A huge tipi, stood next to that was a big inflatable pub with a bucking bronco and games scattered all over. This was going to be a fun packed day!
We had a walk around the venue with the newlyweds to get some fun, natural shots of them together. We found lots of great backdrops for these photos as the
the tipi was set up next to a farm, so it was very rustic and made for great photographs.
Afternoon Tea & Speeches
Everybody made their way inside the tipi as the cakes and sandwiches were being served.
Maddi’s Mum and Dad opened the speeches. Her family suddenly burst into a song that absolutely brought the house down. Tears were streaming at this point, it was such a magical moment. We had some great speeches from Dave and his best man and even little Florence grabbed the mic and had everyone in fits of laughter.
Lawn Games, Music & An Irish Jig
By this point in the day, the bucking bronco was throwing people all over the place. Space hopper races and bow and arrows getting fired at targets (mainly people’s heads)
Gypsy River took to the stage and got everybody in the mood for dancing. It went to another level when Irish dancing started. Some absolutely amazing moves, I think Michael Flatley would have been proud. Swinging each other around the dance floor, they had so much great energy.
The show didn’t stop there. Maddi and Dave gave us all a fantastic first dance before everyone joined them on the dance floor.
A nice little rest bite for everyone when Jordy’s delicious pizza arrived and you can’t have a tipi wedding without pulled pork barms!
We were treated to more live music after this. What an amazing fun packed day. Maddi and Dave had thought of everything possible to make this a special day to remember. It had it all! It was a pleasure to be part of it.
