It was a pleasure being Emily and David’s Lancashire wedding photographer. We hooked up with Emily and David last year and hit it off instantly. They described how they wanted their wedding photography to be relaxed and I described my documentary style of photography and everything then just fell into place.
We shot their pre-wedding shoot up in Rivington on a beautiful sunny day and then the countdown to the wedding began.
On the big day we met Emily at her mothers home in Bolton. I love bridal preparations, all the buzz and excitement is a joy to capture and a lovely way to start the story.
St Mary’s Church in Horwich, Bolton is where Emily and David got married. We then made our way to The Sirloin in Preston Lancashire. Its just round the corner from Houghton tower and I was amazed with the story I was told about this place. Legend has it that King James 1 was a guest at Houghton tower, he enjoyed a loin of beef he was served so much that he actually knighted it! hence the name “Sir” Loin. Crazy, I know!
Emily and her Mum decorated the room beautifully to every last detail.
The party got straight into swing and it was a great atmosphere. A brilliant wedding and it was a pleasure capturing it.
Huge congratulations to Emily & David. Here is their story …
