King Street Townhouse Wedding | Lucy & Paul

City Centre Wedding

This was our first King street Townhouse Wedding and we loved every minute of it. We met Lucy, Paul and their adorable little girl Eliza to discuss all their wedding plans. They wanted and intimate wedding with close family and friends in the city centre of Manchester. Their original wedding venue was On The 7th in the Media City part of Manchester but unfortunately the venue closed down so they were given the option of having their wedding at King Street Townhouse. Lucy and Paul absolutely love King Street Townhouse so they were more than happy with the change.

Natural Wedding Photography

When discussing photography with Lucy and Paul, they explained that they want a very natural approach to their wedding day. No group shots or awkward poses, just a pure documentary style, which is what we do best.

We met Lucy and the girls at the hotel where they were getting ready. Paul and the guys arrived not long after and made their way to the bar for drinks before the ceremony. The ceremony room looked stunning. Lit only by candle light it gave a lovely intimate feel to the room.

Lucy looked stunning walking down the aisle to her husband to be. She couldn’t stop smiling throughout the service, the happiness on her face was a joy to capture.

After the ceremony everybody made their way to the outside terrace for drinks and canapes. The heavens did open up from time to time so with the click of a button we had perfect rain cover over the terrace.

After a lovely speech from Paul, we had a break from the rain so made our way up to the roof to get some shots of Lucy and Paul together overlooking the Manchester skyline. We even managed to have a walk around the city for some natural shots of the newly weds together. It’s such a surreal feeling walking through Manchester with a married couple. Everybody we passed congratulated the couple and one Lady even asked for a photograph of them both together. Friendliest city on earth!

As the sun set over Manchester and a few more evening guests started to arrive, the DJ played the song for Lucy and Paul’s first dance. Couples then joined in on the dance floor before the tempo got notched up for the evening party.

Such a wonderful day with the loveliest people you could wish to meet.

King Street Townhouse

What a fabulous venue King Street Townhouse is. Part of the Eclectic hotel chain, All the Eclectic hotels are fantastic venues for a city centre wedding. The building was originally built in 1872 so it’s a perfect mix of history meets modern. The roof terrace has wonderful views of Manchester’s rooftops. We can’t wait to capture another wedding here soon.

If you are looking at a city wedding, you can’t go far wrong with King Street Townhouse.
