You just cant beat being an Iranian Wedding Photographer in Manchester. Being Iranian myself I suppose I could be a bit biased with that statement. I was actually born in Iran to an Iranian Father and English Mother. We moved to England permanently when I was 5 years old. I couldn’t speak a word of English back then. You wouldn’t think it with the thick Bolton accent I have today.
Iranian/Persian Wedding Photography
So you can imagine how thrilled I was when Shayesteh and Sam got in touch to photograph their Persian wedding at Pendley Manor in Hertfordshire. I arranged to meet Shayesteh in London whilst down there visiting my friend to discuss all their plans for the big day.
On the day of the wedding the weather was just glorious, beautiful warm sunshine that we rarely get to see up in Manchester. We got some shots of Shayesteh and Sam whilst they were getting ready. Shayesteh then made her way down the Beautiful staircase at Pendley Manor to be greeted by her groom who was waiting for her at the bottom with a beautiful bouquet of flowers. After greeting their wedding guests, the newly weds sat down to a traditional Iranian wedding ceremony (Sofreh Aghd) were guests of the couple would present them with lovely gifts.
Shayesteh really wanted to get some lovely portraits of her and Sam together around the grounds of Pendley Manor, a break from the norm for us but we really enjoyed capturing them together.
The evening celebrations really got into full swing with a wonderful cake dance from Shayesteh and her wedding guests, followed by some dancing to very lively Persian music.
Iranian people are the most warmest, welcoming people you could ever wish to meet and the weddings have so much fun and energy. It was an absolute pleasure to work with the extremely talented Paul Williams of Ginger Beard Weddings.
