Classy Black Tie Eaves Hall Wedding

A Classy Black Tie Eaves Hall Wedding in November. Kelly and Craig got married at one of my favorite venues to shoot weddings.

Eaves Hall Weddings

Set in the Ribble Valley, Eaves Hall is one of my favourite venues to photograph weddings. A beautiful country house that is surrounded by stunning gardens. It can host big weddings that can have up to 250 guests and also smaller intimate weddings for really close family and friends.

The team at Eaves Hall is second to none. They make sure you have the wedding you have always dreamed of.

Eaves Hall looks beautiful all year round. This wedding was shot mid November so the lovely autumnal colours really come through in the photos. I can’t wait to be back at Eaves Hall again soon.

Bride & Groom Preparations at Eaves Hall

I met Kelly and her excited entourage on the morning of the wedding in the Kemple suite at Eaves Hall. Kelly had gifts for their mothers and bridesmaids. A few tears were shed as her bridesmaid read the lovely words that Kelly had written for them.

I made my way to meet Craig and the lads who had just turned up and started to get ready at the lodge which is situated at the bottom of the gardens at Eaves Hall.

I do love the excitement and build up at bridal prep, but it has to be said, something always bizarre happens during groom prep. It happens that the lads weren’t watching the bridesmaid DVD that was playing on the Tv. As we all turned round, the scene that was playing at that exact time was.. Well, I’ll let the photos do the talking. ;)

Back at the bridal suite at Eaves Hall, Kelly was getting the finishing touches of her make-up done. She looked absolutely stunning in her White Gallery wedding dress as she peeped over the balcony at the guests arriving at the venue.

Eaves Hall Wedding Ceremony

The guests all took to their seats for what was an absolutely beautiful wedding ceremony. Kelly had to fight back the tears a few times as she stood with her man at the top of the aisle. We had a couple of lovely readings from their friend and little girl before the new Mr & Mrs Rogers made their way back up the aisle together as husband and wife. After friends had congratulated the newly weds, we made our way outside to get a few formal family group photos.

A Walk Around The Beautiful Gardens Of Eaves Hall

As the light started to fade, I sneaked Kelly and Craig away for a walk around the beautiful grounds of Eaves Hall.

I do like to keep this part of the day as natural as possible. I don’t ask the couple to do anything they wouldn’t normally do. I avoid silly posing and forced smiles. I think letting them just walk around and talk to each other brings out their true personality in the photographs. I would hate the thought of a couple looking back at their photos in years to come and thinking “what the hell were we doing?” I find a nice backdrop and lovely light and ask them to stand there and just let everything naturally flow.

Some couples like to cuddle and some like to get each other in a headlock and have a laugh. Be yourselves! You’ll look back at the photos and remember the moment instead of what your photographer asked you to do.

Laughter & Tears During Speeches

The father of the bride started the speeches followed by Craig and his dad who was also the best man. I do love this part of the day. Capturing real moments and emotions is what I strive to capture at every wedding and the speeches give you this in abundance. There was plenty of that during these speeches! Lots of laughter and many tears were shed. Such a special part of a wedding day.

Sparklers To Start The Party

After the speeches, everyone made their way outside to light up the night with sparklers. Back inside Kelly and Craig made their grand entrance back into the room to start their first dance. They were soon joined by guests as the music got notched up for everyone to dance the night away.

What a wedding! I couldn’t have asked to meet a nicer couple and family.
