Asian Wedding Photography In Lancashire with Neelam and Imran. The wedding took place at the Royal banquet hall in Preston town centre.
We met Neelam and her lovely aunt and cousins at a coffee shop a few months before. We described our natural, documentary style of photographing weddings and it was exactly what they were looking for.
On the day we met Neelam at her aunt’s home were she was getting ready. Neelam looked amazing in her striking red dress and mehndi beautifully decorated on her hands.
Once at the venue, Lucy got some beautiful shots of Neelam in the ceremony room as I photographed Imran making his fantastic entrance into the venue to the sounds of drums and excitement.
Imran took his place on the grand stage as Neelams brother in tradition gave a glass of milk (doodh) for Imran to drink.
Neelam made her entrance and sat beside her husband on the stage. We got some really great documentary shots of the newly weds and their families celebrating the marriage.
As the day come to an end, Neelam’s family prepared to send her off to join Imrans family. This was such an emotional part of the day. The Qur’an was held over Neelam’s head as they left the venue and there were lots of tears and emotion. For us as photographers, these are the moments we live for. Real emotion!
We were made to feel so welcome by everybody at Neelam and Imran’s wedding, and the food was just delicious! Wishing them all the happiness in the world.
