Abbeywood Estate Wedding Photography – Probably one of the prettiest venues I’ve had the pleasure of photographing weddings. The gardens around Abbeywood Estate are just spectacular, with amazing views of the Delamere countryside!
Abbeywood Estate Wedding Cheshire
It was a beautiful June day for Lily and George’s Abbeywood Estate wedding, the sun was beaming, and guests having a game of tennis before getting ready for the big day ahead. Lily and George were both getting ready on site. George was in the Woodside cottage getting ready with his dad. Lily and her bridesmaids were having their hair and makeup done next to the main house.
Outdoor Ceremony – Abbeywood Estate Wedding
A walk through the gorgeous tropical gardens and pool garden, Lily and George tied the knot on the main field at the back with stunning views all around. The weather was just perfect! In the rare times, we get weather like this in the Uk, you simply have to try and have your ceremony outside, it was just perfect!
Drinks And A Wonderful Bride And Groom Speech
George and Lily made their way back up the aisle together and through the tunnel of guests that threw confetti over the newlyweds.
Guests gathered on the lawns as drinks and canapes were passed around. Lily & George took centre stage on the steps in front of the house for a joint bride and groom speech. (more brides giving speeches please!) Both read out beautiful words which were met with lots of joyous laughter and a few tears.
Best Man Speech & Food In The Glasshouse
Everybody made their way to the Glasshouse for a great speech from the best man and some delicious food.
I love the Glasshouse, it looks absolutely amazing, especially in the sunny summer months with the light that shines in and lights up the smiles of the wedding guests inside having a great time.
Stunning Gardens At Abbeywood Estate
As mentioned above, the gardens at Abbeywood Estate are just tremendous! I was blown away the first time I saw them. So what better backdrop for a bride and groom having a little time out and taking a walk around the grounds together as the sun was just starting to dip.
Mr & Mrs with Some Rock ‘N Roll
As the sun started to set, there were a few lawn games of croquet and a quick game of tennis before everybody made their way back to The Glasshouse for the evening celebrations.
Lily and George had a fun game of Mr& Mrs which got everybody in the mood for a good party.
The newlyweds then joined each other on the dance floor for their first dance as husband and wife before being joined by the rest of the wedding party to dance the night away to the sounds of the Dance Floor Fillers.
Lily & George are such a great couple, I had such a fantastic day with them and their wedding guests.
“What can I say… WOW. These are better than we could have even imagined!!! We’ve had a busy period so didn’t manage to sit down and look at the photos until the weekend but I’m glad we waited until we had time as it was so lovely going through all of the photos together. We love every single one of the photos and I particularly loved seeing moments from the day that we weren’t in and seeing our family and friends having such a lovely day.
On the day you were absolutely fabulous and I know that we couldn’t have picked anyone better for our photographs, a sentiment that has been echoed by family I have spoken to. You fitted in seamlessly to the day and made everyone feel unbelievably comfortable and relaxed and there are definitely photos of us where we didn’t even know you were around!
We have already ordered some photos and cannot wait to see them in person, and will definitely be ordering more for ourselves and family so we can remember the day for years to come. You captured the day perfectly and your style is flawless and suited us brilliantly. I never like photos of myself (Lily) and I have to say I cannot stop looking at these as they are simply stunning.

Abbeywood Estate Wedding
Abbeywood Estate is located in the Delamere Countryside in Cheshire. It has been home to the Rowlinson Family since 1987. It’s a 45-acre estate that provides lots of space for weddings both indoors and out. Their gardens are what sets this venue apart, they are simply stunning!
There are a number of choices to have your ceremony from The Barn or The Glasshouse and lots of space around the grounds on a warm day. All rooms have fantastic views of the surrounding gardens.
I love the Glasshouse for both ceremony and evening reception, it looks incredible every time I have photographed at Abbeywood.
The Abbeywood gardens are perfect for a walk together later in the day as they are the perfect backdrop for photographs!

“We got married at Abbeywood on 10th July 2021 and the service was exceptional, from the point we first looked around to our wedding day and breakfast the next morning. Harry, Matthew and Lauren went above and beyond to provide an excellent and reassuring service whilst we planned the wedding predominantly during COVID – having an understanding supplier made a huge difference to easing our nerves. We received so many positive comments from friends and family saying that it was the best wedding they’d been to (!) and that the grounds, food and staff were wonderful. We would highly recommend Abbeywood as a wedding ceremony and reception venue. We also visited for afternoon tea with the bridesmaids prior to the wedding and found the cafe great!“
